At Greater Manchester Sports Clubs we understand the importance of swimming and its essential place on the National Curriculum but we also understand the challenges faced by schools in facilitating a suitable swim program.
With the current cost of living crisis the cost of leisure centres, minibuses and the added pressure regarding timetables and staff, it is becoming harder and harder for schools to arrange a swim program.
Greater Manchester Sports Clubs is helping to overcome these challenges by bringing the pool direct to the school and allowing students to Swim @ School.
- 12.5 metre x 6 metre pool on site

At Greater Manchester Sports Clubs, sustainable progress and being environmentally friendly is at the heart of every program we run be it here in the UK, across North America, across the Middle East or in delivering our programs in South East Asia. We are always looking for innovative ways to deliver programs an a way that takes account for the environment and our impact upon it.
Swim@School is no different. We are very proud to be the only deliverer in the UK that has a fully sustainable program. We use a combination of solar power, wind power and biodiesel to run our program ensuring that we do not add to the Electricty usage of the school and keep power wastage to a minimum.
Our innovative hardware is custom built for us and shipped to the UK Specifically for use by Swim@School
In addition to this we are extremely proud of our water management system. We do not use any water from the school and we do not waste any water. While our competitors use a standard water supply to fill the pool, taking 2-3 days of filling time, and then simply let the water run into the waste system, we feel that a pool that uses around 60,000 litres of water each time, must have a better system, As such we send our water tankers on site to fiil the pool and at the end of the program the tankers are back onsite to pump up the water, take it to a treatment works, give it a full wash and then have it ready to fill a pool at the next school. This method allows us to use the same pool of water several times over and over this reducing water wastage.
